A New Christmas Read…

It’s seems like it was only yesterday when I celebrated the new year’s eve, but here we are now, at the threshold of a new chapter in our lives. This year has probably moved light years ahead for me because it was my busiest year yet. And it will soon about to become more interesting.

My inspirational fantasy novella, Kima, is now set to be released soon around the end of November and the beginning of December. This novel have been in rewriting inferno for a tremendous time. Passing through purgatory now, Kima will soon shine out and be available publicly and only clicks away too.

Christmas Eve 1928 gave birth to a yearly phenomenon in South Africa. A herd of false killer whales were found beached upon the shores. It has also given birth to the story of two young children who meet an old woman named Kima. Kima somehow knows why this has happened, but that’s not all she knows. The children, Alex and Alice, realize that there is more to this woman that what meets the eye, and ear. She will reveal to them a tale, a mysterious story she claims was passed on to her by a mythical Black Seagull.

Derived from both historic tales and figures, Kima is a fictional character portrayed in a way that makes her become real.

There will be more to reveal in the coming future, all I could say is that this is an inspirational novel that I had extreme joy and pleasure writing it. I hope in the very upcoming future I will get to share the experience and hope we can learn something from my inspirational fantasy novella.

With no more options to venture through, Hassan will be left with only one choice; to flee and start up a new life, leaving all the ties that have braced his entire being. But some ties are too tight, when severed; it will change his balance and force him back to face a tragedy.

Following his leads, Hassan will find himself roaming the streets of London for reprisal. Even with eight spirits by his side, which are connected to him by the tragic event of his birth, he will feel outnumbered, going against the Minerva Group and its limitless arsenal of agents and brutes. Hassan will desperately try his best to stay out of their reach until he finds a way to cut his losses short.

But being too deep in the belly of the beast, he may end up losing more; his life, or even worse… his sanity.

Beta As It May…

Punning my way into this post, I feel excited that I am getting closer to reveal what was hidden for a while; The book cover had only hinted itself so far, and with the Alpha post, I hope I made a big step towards telling my story. Can’t wait to see what Charlie will bring tomorrow.

Here's what went down on my last post... its only a click away

Here’s what went down on my last post… its only a click away

Today is the second post out of seven, bringing us closer towards the first look of my second book’s new cover. I believe that you don’t judge a book by its cover… that is true… but for some degree, you can judge a novel by the back cover. Which is why today Beta post will be a blurb from my second book, entitled Iblis (Arabic for Devil), which would be apparent on the back cover.

I always try to choose my words wisely, because unfortunately, revealing more could somehow lead to spoiling the big surprise and the hidden cords that I planted inside the book to jolt you with shocks… In a good way of course.

Keep an eye out for Charlie… He’s only a day away.

Googled myself today…

The word google itself is actually a number composed of the digit 1 followed by 100 zeros. And it is now represents the oasis of the digital world where people can find refuge from the desert of ignorance. And by each day, that oasis is growing into and ocean where almost everything you can imagine to learn and discover can be present there… it can also mean that it is lost too; for the bigger the ocean, the harder a drop can be located.

I have released my first book out there (not talking locally, but internationally) a year ago. My novel, Psychs, have been released on more than 30 online stores and only six countries’ bookstores, in other words, I tried my best to make that drop of information condense gradually to make itself apparent, I became busy with my intern in the clinics so I allowed the data to stew a little on its own… until today where I decided to dive in and see if I can locate myself by writing A. H. Amin+Psychs… I was not disappointed. I was deeply and especially moved when I saw a website called Words from life, where I felt touched. I saw it again too in Shiny Quotes and, of course, Goodreads. I have always been a quotes aficionado, and to see my name next to words I have written was the perfect boost for my day.

Another boost was having my designer send me the final draft of my new sequel of the Psychs Series, entitled Iblis (Arabic for Devil). Which means the next chapter in the series is becoming more and more closer to my grasp, my second child is on the way and I can’t wait to hold that baby in my hands, and hopefully share that joy with my readers, old and new.

So keep a look out for a book cover that may look roughly related to my first book… here’s a hint…

End of an era…

My favorite idol had passed away, a man with great intelligence, with an abundant amount of grey cells who never misses a thing, no whisper can run away from his ears, no shadow is big enough to obscure what he notices… His own mother, Agatha, thought him to be tiresome, egotistical and creep… I can’t believe it’s finally over.

To me, Hercule Poirot was born on January 8th, 1989. I got to meet him on 1993, I was really into detective shows, so much that I would look for evidences and imagine myself brawling with criminals… But Poirot had opened my eyes to a whole new level of detecting, the kind where you only need to watch and read the signs; realize the unexpected… So much that he had helped me by inspiring me to write Psychs’ 1st… Which is a detective short story spanned off my series.
Poirot is the fictional character created by one of humanities most celebrated authors, Agatha Christie. Unsuccessful at her initial writing career, in 1920 she was first acknowledge for her first work of Poirot, The Mysterious Affair at Styles.
I had the pleasure of reading some of Poirot’s most brain twisting and jaw dropping cases, my favorite being Murder on the Orient Express. The last episode of the very long running Crime Drama that is Poirot was an emotional roller coaster. The precision in portraying Poirot’s character was delivered in a wonderful manner that is not less than perfect.
Here is how David Suchet brought Hercule Poirot to life.

Life portrayed for explanation in many colors for our imagination to comprehend. One illustration depicts life as a sturdy current, so powerful, to go against it will break you. This is the story of a person who simply stopped, thinking by doing so, his problems will vanish.

Being an only child, Sammy became accustomed to the solitary life, he didn’t waste time bonding with anyone. Every once in a while, his eyes would spot a glimpse of a shadow in his apartment, forcing him to get up to find nothing. He got used to it eventually, but had he known better, he would have placed more thoughts to it, it would at least made him avoid the mad result.

Soundless in his bed, Sammy’s sleep got interrupted. He got up to see what’s the cause. Approaching what he thought was the kitchen, he halts, looking in confusion at a dark room. Something dropped from above; a rope with a noose end. Suddenly, he got pushed from behind. The rope tightened on his neck as he fell. Placing his hand on it, he started to breath hard.

Opening his eyes, he found himself on his bed holding his blanket, subconsciously chocking himself with it. His heart knocked hard.

‘Why this is happening?’ He said. He wanted to talk to someone, but he had no one to confide. His life of isolation came back, a film playing in his mind. Every time his parents fought, he locks himself in his room, every time the world is grey, he goes to darkness.

Is dark better than grey? He thought. Anything is better than darkness.

Looking back to his bed, he found himself dead after he had chocked himself. The image forced him out of his nightmare… and back to his grey life.

This is the 300 words story I have promised to write on short notice after the Vice Dean of dentistry had asked me to write one for a competition held in our university. I hope you had somewhat enjoyed this little drop of literature and I hope it has also helped to inspire.

The Werewolf Dentist And The Vampire Patient…

A patient misheard me yesterday and she shut her jaws and bit my hand. For some reason, I made some noise that can only be described as a minute howl… all it took is my colleague to say ‘Now you’ll turn and become one of the patients’ and my imagination was unleashed. I hope you’ll enjoy this little portrait that I painted with letters.

It was late at night, and Dr. Woolsey just made sure his last patient would get out with a Hollywood smile on her. The reception had no more patients.

‘I think that’s it for the day, Renny!’ doctor Woolsey said out loud from where he was, inside his office. His receptionist, Renny, placed the final case’s data on her computer. She saw her reflection on the screen when her PC went off… she only saw her reflection. Getting her own bag, she turned and met what she couldn’t spot earlier. A tall, pale man, grim, in every way imaginable, as death, he wore a pitch black long coat that only made his face clearly pale in contrast. She almost shout out, when suddenly.

‘I smelled him… don’t worry’ Dr. Woolsey told his Nurse.

‘So what do I owe you the pleasure, Odol?… oh, and you can leave now if you want.’ Renny didn’t wait for him to say that twice.

‘My canine is broken’ Odol said… his words came from Woolsey’s back, when the latter turned around he couldn’t find him, Odol moved too fast.

‘I’m already on the chair!’ he heard Odol in his head.

Humans can heal and regenerate, vampires do it a lot faster, but they can’t, like humans, bring back their lost permanent teeth. They eventually needed dentists.

Odol opened his mouth to reveal his case.

‘So you are an Interview With A Vampire kind.’ Woolsey said while using his mirror to survey everything inside.

‘What do you mean by that?’ he asked, the words came out wobbling because he said it with his mouth wide open, but it reached Woolsey’s ears. Woolsey pointed at the poster he had on the wall.

tumblr_me3y6u2jKc1rl2ahgo1_500

‘That is a good way to classify our ki…’ ‘Shhh,’ Woolsey interrupted, placing his impression trey inside Odol’s mouth ‘you can’t talk now’

‘Nice try’ he heard Ozol, who is now using his telepathic ability to speak to his mind ‘by the way, your nurse has a very beautiful neck… I think I’ll give her a visit later today’ he spoke to Woolsey’s mind.

‘She’s mine’ Woolsey replied. Odol felt the animal side in Woolsey. And then it dissipated away. Odol felt relieved.

‘You look bad’ Woolsey said.

‘I wouldn’t know… I have no reflection’ Odol replied ‘so how are you going to help me?’

‘Implant’ Woolsey replied.

‘You know I heal very fast, you won’t have time to place your implant after you drill me’

‘It’s a special implant made for your kind… some humans see business in anything. They created a garlic coated implant just for your kind’

‘So I guess they charge more for the extra garlic?’ Odol said telepathically.

Odol had his final implant, what should have taken months only took him hours thanks to Odol’s supernatural ability. Getting out, Odol took another whiff from the reception area.

‘I got your scent’ he told him self.

‘And what will you do about it?’ Woolsey spoke, who heard what Odol said through his heightened hearing.

‘I want to try my new teeth if you don’t mind’ Odol grinned.

‘She is mine… you won’t have her… she’s my prey and I want her’

Odol knew Woolsey had to have one every month, where the moon takes over all his senses. He felt Woolsey turning.

‘You can not out run me, and it is night… your pathetic attempt to have my prey before I do is nothing but a waste of your thoughts’

Odol waited a second, he felt the animal dissipate again. Woolsey spoke calmly to him.

‘You are right… it is dark, and there is no sun outside’ Odol looked inside Woolsey’s mind, and he read what the latter’s mouth didn’t say.

‘But I already have my own sun here’.

With a press of a button, UV light came from all angles of the room, blinding Woolsey, and killing Odol. In the end, Odol exploded.

Woolsey looked at where Odol was. And then he suddenly started to feel himself getting weaker and weaker… he felt a strong headache. The implant Odol had had went through Woolsey’s head when the former exploded… but why?? I am immortal… why am I dying?? He thought… but then came his answer. The implant… it’s silver coated to reduce infection risk… but vampires don’t get infected… they are immortals… humans… they see profit everywhere… why else would they add silver like they do for humans… to have us pay more.

Woolsey fell on the floor, centuries of his life drained away… both of them died… for humans, and by humans.
