Project “Follow Me”

A very inspiring and creative theme presented in the most magnificent manner. Capturing the moment, a picture worth ten thousand words.. all that is used to describe the art that is photography is being well orchestrated through this idea and it is still in play, continuing to bring us joy and longing to travel.
Holding the hand of his muse, the Russian photographer Murad Osmann continues to be led by his inspiration, and his girlfriend, Nataly Zakharova in his ongoing journey. With her back facing the camera, she eagerly guides him through various locations across our globe. The exotic duo have managed to tastefully create and display a variety of exciting and culturally rich landscapes and architects through their clever set of images.
I have placed some of many of his brilliant works, you can view more through his facebook page or instagram.
Can you guess the locations where these were shot?

Life portrayed for explanation in many colors for our imagination to comprehend. One illustration depicts life as a sturdy current, so powerful, to go against it will break you. This is the story of a person who simply stopped, thinking by doing so, his problems will vanish.

Being an only child, Sammy became accustomed to the solitary life, he didn’t waste time bonding with anyone. Every once in a while, his eyes would spot a glimpse of a shadow in his apartment, forcing him to get up to find nothing. He got used to it eventually, but had he known better, he would have placed more thoughts to it, it would at least made him avoid the mad result.

Soundless in his bed, Sammy’s sleep got interrupted. He got up to see what’s the cause. Approaching what he thought was the kitchen, he halts, looking in confusion at a dark room. Something dropped from above; a rope with a noose end. Suddenly, he got pushed from behind. The rope tightened on his neck as he fell. Placing his hand on it, he started to breath hard.

Opening his eyes, he found himself on his bed holding his blanket, subconsciously chocking himself with it. His heart knocked hard.

‘Why this is happening?’ He said. He wanted to talk to someone, but he had no one to confide. His life of isolation came back, a film playing in his mind. Every time his parents fought, he locks himself in his room, every time the world is grey, he goes to darkness.

Is dark better than grey? He thought. Anything is better than darkness.

Looking back to his bed, he found himself dead after he had chocked himself. The image forced him out of his nightmare… and back to his grey life.

This is the 300 words story I have promised to write on short notice after the Vice Dean of dentistry had asked me to write one for a competition held in our university. I hope you had somewhat enjoyed this little drop of literature and I hope it has also helped to inspire.

Adam Goldfish incarnation…

That is correct… fate presented me with the exact (if not more) portrait of one of my own imaginary creation. Jessica Cox is a true testament of human’s strong will and power. Born with a congenital defect, she adapted herself to live her life without her arms by her side like an average person, yet, she became above average in all standards, having a driver’s license to drive a normal and unmodified car, she is the world’s first licensed pilot, she is also a certified scuba diver, and she has two black belts in taekwondo; with her own will, she grew her own arms, her own wings, her own gills, and her own… well, extra strong legs I’d say.

Adam Goldfish is a fictional character who sometimes I wished he was real, like my other character, Hassan. The former was imprisoned for thirteen years, and during those years, he lost both his arms and willed himself to keep going and adapt no matter what. He is someone I would like to meet, just like Jessica, the incarnation of my character.

Oh… and she has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology… so I’d say she has a little bit of Hassan in her too.

Writing hard or hardly writing

I have been working hard while being too tired to work; doing my intern in the clinics have left me with little physical energy to start writing something new. I only have two positive thoughts carrying me through the week; the first thought is that my second book (with god’s grace) will be fully proofread soon and become ready for publishing. The second thought is, I’m getting a two weeks vacation from my clinic.
Writing is an uncharted adventure, and having some extra time will help me fill my blank map. So I guess I will never be in a real vacation… But then again, a vacation is the time where you get to do whatever you like and feel passionate about… Which means I’m always on vacation.
I guess the point of sharing my thoughts for my past, present and coming weeks had emerged into some sort of a revelation; passion in what you do is what’s really important, find it in your jobs and hobbies, and you will always get to be on vacation.
Enjoy your weekend. May you find your passion and everlasting happiness.

My irrational intervals…

Fear is an intelligent entity; it knows how to scar a person and keep them alert at all times. I have experienced fear in my life before, but for some reason, only one keeps hunting my dreams… it visited me in my sleep just now to check on me, to make sure I still remember… for some reason, he thinks I am forgetting.

Five years ago, in 2008, I was robbed… the funny part was that I saw the robber and I talked to him. I used to have a very bad eye sight, too bad that if my old glasses wasn’t the thin pressed type, I would have a bottle’s bottom for glasses and would have my eyes burned when I look at the sun. I thought at the time that the robber was my friend. I talked about what should we do tomorrow and where to have breakfast… he only kept nodding, he may even thought I was on some kind of a drug. I went to bed, woke up later, and found the place clean… no TV, no laptop, no wallet… pretty much anything that can be sold. The police were too incompetent; they could be in it, too.

What have gone was regained; I got new objects. No matter what we lose in our life, we can always find something new and maybe better along the line. But I gained something that is still with me and refuses to leave me be.

My irrational fear only shows itself in my dreams; every now and then, at least once a week, I dream that someone is trying to get inside and steal from me… today, hours ago, I heard someone trying to break through my window, I went to see what it was and I found some kind of a rod breaking what’s left from glass in the window’s margins. When I shouted my demons away, I woke up, my pumping heart played with my ribs like a Xylophone. Regulating my breaths, I welcomed my fear with a simple smile, for I became accustomed to his visits. I made green tea for myself, couldn’t prepare anything for fear, I was out of decaf coffee, his favorite… even fear needs rest from time to time.

Wide awake now, I asked Tobi (yes… I’ll call him Tobi) ‘for five years, why do you still see me?’

He replied ‘You would think that by knowing me for five years we should be friends by now’

‘But I still don’t know you…’

‘Have you taken the effort to do so? Have you ever tried to know me better?’

‘Well… I know you were born five years ago when I was robbed’

‘Do you think I was the result of a mere pathetic robbery? People know me as fear; I existed when emotions existed… I could be the first emotion to emerge from most, if not all, creation’

‘You did exist before that, I admit. But since five years you have become a regular visitor to me. I have no explanation of why would I open my doors to you when it comes to what had happened five years ago’

‘We tend to be blind to what is obvious… have you ever been robbed before?’

‘Not before that day… no’

‘The answer should be obvious, kid… I am really experience. You can let the world portrait me as it pleases, or you can use your own colors to draw what I should be… I am your friend, and I will always be with you.’

The only thing I can do is to live with it… with him; Tobi. Life can be grey if we didn’t know how to color. We should not let fear take over and shape our lives… it exists, but you also exist, too. Fear should be experience. If anything, it should inspire us.

I hope everyone learns to live with their fears. Next time, I’ll be sure to have decaf for when he visits again.

Have a wonderful day everyday my dear readers

1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.

4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Make time for prayer and reflection
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2012.

Everything is permitted when we are creative… 8

With no shackles or strains to bind you, your limits does not exist. Just shine a light on your ideas, and see what kind of shadows will be made.

There’s no denying it… Books are the best form of story telling.

There’s a chemistry between you and your art.

Your art can inspire us to think differently

Mother nature likes to show off

Your ideas will put a smile on the frowny faces 🙂

Nothing is really broken if you know how to use it

Everything is permitted when you are creative… Well not everything

Nothing has only a single use

Art is the physical manifestation of the unphysical, a sense made from no sense, and a soul that awakens the soulless.

High expectation comes from higher efforts…

You can’t expect a bull to not charge at you because simply you are vegetarian. You can’t expect to get healthy because you add a salad to every meal. You can not think you will accomplish in life because you just simply want to.

You have to do your work… Happiness is the end result of your conflicts in life

Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.
