Before releasing a spinoff from a main series I think we should first learn who will we be spinning with? That is why in the coming days I will host guest honors from the series, and since my last post placed me in a good mood, today I will introduce two characters from the ‘Psychs’ series.
‘Psychs 1st’ is a spin off that tells the story of young Hassan, a guy with eight ghosts connected to him by the tragic event of his birth, he decided to visit the United States in an effort to put closure to the 7 ghosts who are connected to him by visiting their families and give them letters with a fake story of how he got those letters, only to discover that he is there to do more than that, and probably to try and survive.
So without further stalling and teasing, here are the first two ghosts, and I think it is only appropriate to start with the one who gave birth to our main character.
The first time they found her she was pregnant and only a click away from her death, right after she had lost her husband and Hassan’s real father. Strangely for everyone and even her own son, she appears as the most ghostly looking spirit of the group because she has wide eyes and looked as if she came out from a Tim Burton movie. She was the first ghost to appear to him and the most to stick around Hassan.
Other than the fact that she is one of the soldiers who found Sara, outside the military life she is a lover of fantasy, she is a Star Wars fan and a very good climber in her previous life, all that was an influence from her father. She is an only child. She was the closest person to Sara when they all died.
I hope you enjoyed meeting Sara and Emma, they would be really pleased to have met you all if they were real, but who knows, maybe they do exist in another world and I dreamed about them.
Will be introducing the rest of the family in the coming days.
I have recently flew on vacation a couple of days ago and as I was checking the bookstores available there I came across this…
I was really glad even though (Physical bookstores wise and not online stores wise) my novel is only available in two bookstores where I live. Still, I like having my book next to Lee Child and Suzanne Collins
And it has also put me in the mood to announce that the next weekend will be the release of ‘Psych’s first’, a spinoff from my local Bestseller, Psychs, and it will be for free for everyone to read. Starting this week I will be building a launch pad for the next week release by introducing each character and spelling some of the important, spoilers free, details so you can have a better insight of Psychs.
Feel free to connect with my Facebook page and on my Twitter to learn more and get involved with the series. More news and updates to come.
“Easy reading is damn hard writing” ~ Nathaniel Hawthorne
Today and every previous day I am polishing what I wrote so I can present them in the best desirable form for avid readers. I am working hard so I can release (hopefully) three titles this year; Psychs 1st, which is a short story and a spin off from the Psychs series that tells the story of young Hassan’s visit to the United States in an effort to put closure to the 7 ghosts who are connected to him, by visiting their families and give them letters with a fake story of how he got those letters, only to discover that he is there to do more than that, and probably to try and survive.
My second finished work is Kima, a short inspirational story about a true event that occurred in South Africa in 1928, following the old Kima who tells an unbelievable story to young Alice and Alex, and they will learn so much from this fantasy story… Or is it a fantasy?
And last but surely not least, Iblis, the second novel of the Psychs series… This one I’m not revealing more than two things. First, Iblis is Arabic for ‘Devil’, and second, here’s a look inside the prologue.
Enjoy your weekend, I’ll be working hard during… No rest for the wicked.

Today I pass again through the thresholds of the door that brought me to this world for the 28th time, maybe more if you believe in reincarnation. It was a day that I have been waiting for, not to be showered with gifts, but to share a surprise that I have been holding for far too long.
I have mentioned a surprise I have stored for you before, when I talked about Kima, my new inspirational novel. I mentioned it quickly so I can be discreet about it until the day I open the lid on it and spill it out for everyone; it was a Psychs related news, and it was not related to the second book, Iblis. So here’s a picture that says it all.
Psychs 1st is a short story that follows Young Hassan, the U. S. military ghosts and the spirit of his mother to a trip to the United States.
After giving their lives to save Hassan’s while he was still in the womb, they became connected to his existence, well, only eight spirits did. That sacrifice gave him gifts, knowledge, protection and most importantly, a life… Or lives. So as a way to show them his gratitude, he decides to go to the United States of America to deliver messages to the ghosts families… But what he will find there could cause him his life, and the life of one of the ghosts family member.
Psychs 1st will be shared online here and on my other social network sites, for free. It is after all a gift from me to you.
Feel free to visit my website to learn more and to get involved.

‘Art is a single soul divided to all’
This expression is what I always use to describe the fragment of the creator’s spirit within us, which empower our creative juices and draws us towards the stories we are meant to portrait through words, colors or sounds. In my last post, Kima was mentioned for the first time, an inspirational story that I have been finally polishing to its final form… a bit different than my first release, Psychs, a fiction thriller following the story of a guy bound to 8 spirits by the tragic event of his birth, who then uses those ghosts and their knowledge to become a soldier of fortune.
So why the surprising shift? Is it a writer’s pride? To try and prove to one’s self that I can write anything in any genre? Well, to answer that I have to go back to how it all started in 2009, where an idea dropped by.
Art by Adrian Borda
I came across by chance – or fate – to an article on the Internet, where stranded false killer whales were found in South Africa, in that article they mentioned that the first time this had happened in there was in 1928, Christmas Eve, at Kommetjie Beach, though it had happened in other places long before that. For some reason or another I couldn’t get that out of my head… I started to look into it and all I got were theories and some were controversial, but in the end, my curiosity was left unsatisfied.
I started to imagine my own reasons, then I started to picture how did it feel to see something like that for the first time, on Christmas Eve, how did the people, or the first person to see that, reacted… Could that person be a kid?… It must have been a traumatizing thing to witness… A story could be told, so I started to write thoughts only, on a new note book that I got and labeled for the recent obsessing idea.
One day, I did a research at the library to know more about South Africa, particularly about life over there in 1928… And there it was, I came across something that flickered my passion to write Kima, something that I believe could be the reason that could fulfill my curiosity. I started writing, and reading, rewriting, reading again and then rewrote for a final read.
Kima will be released this year, and I will be sharing an excerpt from the novel and some hand picked quotes that I hope will be enjoyed and inspire everyone.
I also have a ‘Psychs’ related surprise that I hope you will feel excited about too. But until then, enjoy your days.

Hello my dear readers,
Last week I have placed the final nail on my new novel, Kima, an inspirational story inspired by an annual event that happens every year since 1928, in South Africa.
Today, I felt like sharing my great news and in the future I will be sharing even more.
Be on the lookout for a Psychs related news… And no, it’s not Iblis…
Have a wonderful day everyone.

The giveaway will be open until June 13th, when the winners will be drawn and awarded.
Here’s what you are allowed to know about Shadows of Penumbra (Blurb):
Seven sins. Seven souls. Seven weapons.
Something sinful resides in Diane’s memories, she’s certain of it. That’s why she traded them in to protect her father and her best friend.
Trained in the task of erasing criminal masterminds’ memories, Diane yawns at the notion of converting yet another Rebel. But when her target turns out to be a little less than human and a bit more than demon, a whole new breed of beings invade Diane’s world and lure her into another dimension, where the world is a ruined, enchanted mirror of reality.
Some of them are ideal doppelgangers of humans called Shadows; others are hybrids with sinister intentions. And they’re about to reveal a lot more than the reason for the trauma in her past or why the world is ending. Like who are the biggest pawns in a conspiracy to “perfect” mankind. Diane must push her mind past all limits and master a set of elements no human has ever controlled to stand any chance of confronting the organization responsible.
After they’re through with her, the Shadows give her a choice: to live the life she’s always wanted or conquer seven powerful devices that will even the odds. Good thing Diane always has a trick up her sleeve, and a partner in crime…

Writing a book is an uncharted journey that we take, an adventure of self discovering and learning more than it is an act of creating. As I ventured to the unknown, I started to fill the blank map of my writing career and my uncharted adventure became better known to me. So today I wanted to lay to everyone my chart so maybe all you writers out there can find your own books to call your treasure.
Every book starts with THE idea, needless to say, but it is THAT idea that fuels your writing engine, the more pure your idea is, the better your story will work.
In the old days, they used the old type writers to write, it was a tiresome thing to do, which is why not so many writers write unless they have something really important to offer. Which also explains why old books are mostly better.
A friend of mine was discussing an idea for a book he plans to write, it was a combination of other ideas, from movies, books or video games. I told him that and he got upset. Which brings us to our next point.
Abandon your Pride
Writers should always be flexible and resilient when it comes to writing their novels, they should leave their pride out of it. When you, the writer, or anyone else find a flaw in your words or ideas you must do what’s necessary for the sake of the story.
As for my next advice, I’ll let Jon Stewart gives you a hint
Reading is really important, you must be a reader before you become a writer. By reading, you explore the essence of your own writing style, it provokes the artist within you and it will help you grow more as a writer, not just by heightening your artistic senses, but also by revealing to you what it takes to be at the level of the writers you follow.
Next advice on the agenda… Provoker
Best ideas are originated from the subconscious since our consciousness is too busy with our reality. The trick is to know how to provoke it. Music is a good way to take when you need to escape from reality to fantasy, there’s exercise too, one can get lost in their thoughts and eventually stumble upon an unfamiliar idea that have been dormant for a while. Any form of hobbies that take our minds out of what’s real is a good way for new ideas to emerge.
Next we have… Research
Research is what you do to nurture your newly born idea. If you do it well your story will grow up in the proper way.
Though we live in the digital world, I prefer doing researches about my stories in the library because, somehow, you can absorb the literature and knowledge from the books around you in an osmosis way. It works as a synergist to my creative juices.
Which brings us to point 4.
A place to help you become in sync with your story. You need to find your special writing place where your words can flow smoothly out of your fingers.
You must be patient when you condition your idea, otherwise, it won’t come out the way you want it to be. And you must apply the previous advice too, which is to remove pride out of it, or it will cloud your judgement and tricks you into hasten things, leaving them pass unchecked.
Now I leave you with my final advice.
Write, write, write and then write some more. You could be the best writer in the world and we may never find out because you were too lazy to sit down and write.
