Our Horror Movie Is Out

Two years ago, me and a group of awesome people made a movie that only costed us 3000$. A year later it got accepted into film festivals and won best feature at the Falcon International Film festival, London. And just last week, The movie was released on Amazon Prime. Our movie is a product of international enthusiastic people from different cultural backgrounds including America, China, Russia, Somalia, India, Mauritius, and Iraq (yours truly), which can show that people can get together and unite through art, even if it was a scary kind of art like our movie Callous.

For now the movie is available on Both the U.S. and the U.K.’s Prime video. I’ll be working on making the movie available on more platforms.

Callous U.S. : Amazon.com

Callous U.K.: Amazon.co.uk

The movie might be a micro (more like nano)- budget film, but it does have its strong moments that I wish to share with horror movie enthusiasts. So have a go at Callous, you might see something you’ll like.

Halloween Story #2 “The Babysitter”

Today I give a bow to the master of horror, Mister Steven King. Today’s story follows a girl named Tina, who’s tale takes place in a story inspired by something I’ve seen very recently.
Tina have managed to put the kids to sleep exactly as she was instructed by mister King. All is left for her to do now was to wait for the parents to come back home so she can get paid, and after that one of the parents will drop her back to her home. Today was Tina’s first day to babysit the King family’s kids, she was happy to do so since she have known about them for a while. In fact, all her friends are curious about them. They were a rich family who traveled a lot. Their house was filled with souvenirs and statues from all over the world, and most of them were in the living room which was where Tina was heading now to watch TV.
Tina entered the living room where she saw statues of dragons, a clown statue, and an African mask statue. Tina didn’t notice how creepy they were since she was all alone in the living room. She checked her phone for new messages but found nothing more recent than the message mister King have sent to her minutes after he left with his wife Sara. Tina read it again to remind herself.
“You can use the TV in the living room, but please do not touch the statues.”
Tina didn’t want to touch them either way. She turned on the TV. She found herself unable to concentrate on whatever she was watching. Tina did not like where the Clown statue was placed in the living room, which was a bit to the left and facing the sofa she was sitting on. It gave her the creeps. She got up to try to move the clown statue and put it behind the sofa where it won’t be in her vision’s peripheries. But she slowed down to a halt when she came close to it, remembering that she should not touch anything in the living room. Frustrated now, Tina went back to watch something less colorful, like an old movie, and hoped for the time to pass by faster.
As the minutes went in the rate of hours, Tina have finally gave up. She got up and picked up the landline to call mister King. Two rings later, Mister King answered the phone.
“Hello Tina, is everything alright?”
“Yes mister King, I just put the kids to bed and I’m now in the living room” Tina said.
“Oh… is there anything else I can help you with?” Mister King asked with a hint of wonder.
“Well… I…” Tina hesitated at first. “I know you said not to touch anything in the living room, but there is a creepy clown statue and… I don’t know… can I use a blanket to cover it or something like that?”
“I’m sorry Tina, I didn’t hear you very well, can you say that again?”
“The clown statue, the one facing the sofa, I’d like to have it covered”
“Listen carefully Tina… get the kids and leave the house, I will call the cops.” Mister King said. Tina froze in a double bind situation; confused at what Mister King have said.
“Mister King… what do you mean?”
“…. we don’t have a clown statue.”
That’s when Tina heard the fast paces of someone running at her from behind, before she felt a tight grip around her waist.

Halloween Story #1 “You’ll Never Guess”

In the spirit of Halloween, I decided to share three tales of horror, starting with today’s tale. Gather around, and let us see what will happen to our dear Sammy.

you'll never guess

The morning breeze mixed with the smell of Sammy’s steaming coffee heightened his sense of admiration for the beautiful scene that he lacked back home. On vacation now, he decided to wake up early to be the first in the breakfast buffet at the guesthouse he was staying at. Sammy looked around him and saw no one here but himself. He drank from his Turkish coffee, and as he was sipping, he heard steps coming from behind him. Thinking it most probably belonged to another guest. He didn’t turn to see who he, or she was. But suddenly, and out of nowhere, something very odd happened. Sammy’s eyes were covered from behind by that person. Startled and uneasy at first, he found himself settling once that person who covered his eyes from behind spoke.

“Guess who?” The voice was familiar and unfamiliar to him at the same time, but not of someone who is very close. If it belonged to a woman, it would be a mature one, and if it was a man’s voice, it would belong to someone probably younger than he is. The hands were not too soft to notice, so he was left with so many faces from his memories. He couldn’t guess no matter how hard he tried.

“I… uh…. ” Sammy smiled “I honestly have no idea.”

Sammy felt the person leaning next to his shoulder, and felt a breath going in before the person spoke.

“You never  will.”

Sammy felt something very sharp penetrating his eyes, the hands then slid sideways and away, rubbing Sammy’s face as it did. Sammy screamed in pain, he turned around to take a swing but hit nothing but air, lost his balance and fell on the floor.

“HELP!!” cried Sammy, but he couldn’t hear anyone yet. He lied down on the floor, terrified, not because whatever fiend did this to him might still be with him, but at the reality of the idea that he will never… ever… see again.

I hope my story was entertaining. Tune in tomorrow for the second story, entitled…. “The Baby Sitter”
